During puberty, PUBIC HAIR begin to grow on the MONS PUBIS, a mound of fatty tissues that covers & protects the pubic bone. Below the mons lie the soft folds of skin, called the OUTER LABIA.

The labia protects the CLITORIS, a small sensitive organ located at the top of the inner side of labia. URINARY OPENING is under inner labia, through which urine comes out. VAGINAL OPENING, which leads into the VAGINA, a part of the internal reproductive system.

It is covered partially by tissue, called the HYMEN. Together, the mons pubis, the labia, the clitoris, the urinary opening, and the vaginal opening comprise the area called the VULVA.

The third opening, called the ANUS, connects with the rectum and is the passage for feces to go out.
