Safer Sexual Behavior through Reproductive Healthcare Education:


Reproductive Healthcare Education need not encourage increased sexual activity. Authentic and quality sexual health education either delay the onset of sexual activity or reduce the number of sexual partners or reduce unplanned pregnancy and rates of sexually transmitted infections. Responsible and safe behavior can be learned by learning the importance of Abstinence. Reproductive health care education is best started before the onset of sexual activity. The effective education programs share certain features and give clear statements about behavioral aims and clearly delineate the risks of unprotected sex and methods to avoid it. They use learning approach to address social and media influences and to enhance communication and negotiation skills as well as resist peer pressure. Effective education programs also encourage openness in communicating about sex.

The need for Services and Products : Even if young people have the knowledge, they may find it impossible to safeguard due to difficulty in acquiring appropriate products and services. Financial, attitudinal, logistical and medical barriers sometimes prevent adolescents from getting what they need to protect or care for themselves. Marriage are nowadays delayed and sexual activity often occurring earlier. The correct and consistent use of condoms for dual protection against pregnancy and infection can reduce the need for clinical services, but contraceptive use is still limited in initial intentional or accidental or forced sexual experience.

Specific reproductive health service needs : Depending on their life circumstances, young people may need a range of sexual and reproductive health services. Pregnant adolescents need medical attention to avoid higher risk of pregnancy complications, but often lack access to it – either because of poverty or geography or fear or shyness or lack of confidence for privacy or fear of blackmail. They may not be aware of the risks they may face or feel uncomfortable using services largely established for married and elder women.

Young married adolescent girls, who begin childbearing shortly after marriage due to lack of knowledge on prevention of pregnancy during early married life. Married couple also at high risk for contracting sexually transmitted diseases. Both husband and wife need medical examination to confirm the HIV negative. One partner refusal to use family planning services with child spacing or delayed childbearing create difficulty for other and may ruin married life. Girls who have been disabled by fistula as the result of obstructed labour, surgical repairs can be a life-saving measure, but many young women do not access to the procedure.

The service needs of boys and young married men are critical to achieve reproductive health care, gender equity and HIV-prevention. Not only HIV/AIDS risk, but also child spacing, condoms and information on how to use them are to be made available at young people meeting places. Awareness and counselling by trained and experienced elder peers can be planned.

Accessibility of services : We would like to create youth friendly reproductive health care services that can provide them privacy & confidentiality, during their convenient hours, at approachable location and at affordable rate. The share and care approach to overcome barriers associated with medical clinic, may include internet, mobile workshop and program in schools, residential societies and workplaces. Reproductive and sexual health care issues are considered important aspect of personal development, with linkages to a range of physical, social emotional and intellectual changes.

Vaginal Secretions Stain may spoil panties most of the time. Due to hormonal changes for menstruation, some white, transperent or yellowish liquid or semi-liquid will come out of vagina and leave stains on crotch of daily use panty. This is why crotch is provided in the panty, so there is almost double the thickness of cloth to absorb liquied coming out from vagina. Also while washing this area is brushed extensively and so get torn from this place as well as color will fade. Sometimes it becomes embarrasing to keep such panty for drying in open, as it may look dirty to others..

Boys also have secreation of semen due to hormonal changes and sexual thoughts. Semen stains remains on underwear and become yeallowish as it dries. Some times even sperm also get ejaculated alongiwth lot of semen and make the underwear wet and sticky. One need to wash this underwear at the earliest, otherwise it will get permanent stain and become hard.
