BREAST FEEDING WEEK is being celebrated by one and all. How many of us are really able to see the satisfaction, which little babies get when they suck the mother’s breast and get mother’s milk? How many of us see the facial expression of satisfaction and love on the face of mother, while breast-feeding her baby. Breast-feeding is hidden even from the eyes of the children and teenagers of their own family. Many teenagers remain unaware about the primary function of the breast and its relationship with motherhood.

BREAST-IMAGE has become a sex symbol nowadays. It has also become the most valuable part of BODY IMAGE. Mostly our films, music videos, advertisements and news; portray breast with respect to sex appeal. Male and female are demanding big and tight breast look. Artificial means applied to boost the breast size. Low cut to show more and more cleavage is becoming in thing. Small size breast are creating mental stress among females and sometimes ruin the married life.

How will we show and promote the primary function of the breast: BREAST-FEEDING of baby by her mother. There is need to change our mindset and learn not to hide breast-feeding so much. At least allow or create opportunities to children and teenagers of their own family to view this natural process and understand the importance of breastfeeding. Teenage girls should understand the importance of breast-feeding in the motherhood and married life during their breast development in puberty days. The need of the hour is to enhance BREAST Image for breast-feeding.
